Tell us about your favourite Volare products.
Our Entiva Enzo Moon is definitely my favourite product - it is our best seller by a mile. This product features pale silver grey with light, cut stone veins through it. It suits most contemporary interiors and is loved both by designers, architects, and the general public. Plus, it is very well priced.

My other favourite is our Flaviker Supreme Treasure Calacatta in Emerald Polished. This tile is dramatic, with intense green veining against a soft white polished stone background. It has a strong visual essence and has a real ‘wow’ factor.

I also love our Cercom Soap Stone tile. This tile actually has a 3D effect – the veins have a slight shimmer and you can feel the slight ridges as you run your hands across it. Historically, this stone was used throughout the world for carving statues, bowls, furniture and even used by the Aborigines for pipes and animal carvings. These days, it’s mainly used for tiles and bench tops.

What is 'trending'/selling well at the moment in the Richmond showroom?
The Entiva Enzo range is selling extremely well due to its subtle veining, soft colour pallet and great price.

Flaviker Navona is also an excellent seller. This tile resembles Travertine and is such a good replica of the stone that it is almost impossible to tell the difference. It has a classic luxury about it and appeals to a market wanting a high end look.

What are your trend predictions for 2022?
In 2022, you can expect to see a lot of natural-looking tiles, such as terrazzo-look tiles, stone-look tiles, and wood-look tiles to name a few.

Artisan and handmade tiles will be prevalent, along with textured tiles. Rich greens and pinks are coming to the forefront in handmade tiles, played against more subtle light stone backgrounds.

What are your top tips for 2022?
If decorating for your own home, don’t be afraid to add drama and wow factor!
When considering a room,  take lighting into account – both natural and decorative. Light can have a big effect on the other materials used in an interior scheme. Carefully consider the decorating as a whole.

If you want your 2022 interior to have longevity in style, stay away from trends and paint your own picture of your rooms. Individuality will have a much longer appeal than any trend set in 2022.

Finally, be brave. If need be, employ an interior decorator that has the flexibility to think along your tastes, who can add ideas that you would never have thought about and really give you that wow factor, that you will have the pleasure of living in for many years to come.
