What is Hybrid Flooring and why should you consider it for your home?

Resilient. Durable. Versatile. Water resistant. Hybrid flooring provides the luxury look of real timber flooring, while performing as a robust material to protect from daily wear and tear.

The top layer in hybrid flooring is scuff, strain and wear resistant and the anti-microbial surface inhibits the growth of germs and bacteria. With a tight locking and easy DIY installation click system, our Hybrid flooring ranges are 100% waterproof for every room of your home or workspace. This effective locking system means the installation process is glueless.

Other key features of the product are found in the layers of the product. These include its multi-layer protective coating; deep structured decorative layer; rigid limestone-based core; and sound absorbing pad.

Hybrid Flooring also has ten times more impact resistance than Wood Plastic Composite (a vinyl flooring option) meaning less scratches and dents through the lifetime of your new floor. The pre-attached EVA pad also provides comfort and sound absorption.

At the decorative layer, hybrid floors feature an authentic timber look, embossed with a wood grain pattern. This is an effective alternative to hardwood floorboards as they are nearly identical in appearance, there are a vast range of colours and wood grains available, and their functionality is designed to last.

When you decide that hybrid flooring is the ideal flooring for your project, things to consider are:

  • What will be the best wooden floor board colour for your space?
  • Will the hybrid flooring be suitable for children and pets?
  • The cost to lay hybrid flooring in your space.
  • Can you DIY lay the hybrid flooring yourself? Or do you need a professional?
  • What patterns can you lay the flooring?
We can assist you with all your needs.

Volare’s hybrid flooring has an expansive array of natural woodland colours and beautiful woodgrains which will inspire your flooring decision. You can visit a hybrid flooring showroom to get hands on with the rich woodland taupes, light and dark shades of oak floorboards, domestic Australian wood tones or the lighter stone grey or nordic grey timber floor board.

Our hybrid floors can be laid in your choice of design - from the common 50/50 offset, to herringbone, chevron and staggered.

Unlike laminate or some wood-look tiles, Volare’s hybrid flooring is supplied in planks and mostly in a matte finish with several gradings. You will recognise them as long thin rectangles which feature natural wood grain aesthetics, elegance and beauty.
